Sara has a strong background in research, policy analysis and communications. Since 2012, she has worked in policy and research roles at the federal and provincial levels of government, as well as at the Mowat Centre, an Ontario-based think tank, where she led several evidence-based research projects.

At the Mowat Centre, Sara developed reports on a variety of topics including infrastructure development, public transportation and social procurement. She also recently conducted research supporting evaluation of government programs and decision-making processes at the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario.

Previously, Sara worked in a communications role with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Sara also worked as a journalist for several years in Washington D.C.

She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Toronto.
